Validation and Stability Intern
At Colorcon’s Global Headquarters, I worked as a Validation and Stability Intern at the intersection of chemistry and biomedial engineering. I conducted laboratory testing on natural dye alternatives, performing stability and performance studies to evaluate color integrity under accelerated aging and environmental stress conditions. My work spanned both R&D and Quality functions, involving collaboration with formulation scientists, QA engineers, and process teams to validate new formulations and support scale-up. I also contributed to building a large scale pigment dataset and partnered with data scientists to support the development of a predictive AI model for color stability, helping integrate optimize data driven methods into Colorcon’s formulation and regulatory workflows.

Front End Lead
During high school summers, I worked as a Front End Lead at The Jigger Shop, a historic ice cream parlor and restaurant in Mount Gretna, PA. I helped run daily operations, leading front of house shifts, training new staff, and ensuring things ran smoothly during peak hours. From managing long lines and resolving customer concerns to balancing registers and crafting specialty sundaes for over 5 years, this job taught me work ethic, teamwork, and adaptability. The Jigger Shop remains a place I cherish and take pride in having been a part of.

AI Driven Color Stability Predictions
At Colorcon, I contributed to an AI-powered initiative aimed at predicting long term stability of pharmaceutical colorants. I cleaned and structured over 250,000 historical pigment trial records using Excel and Power Query, preparing the data for machine learning applications. Working alongside data scientists, I helped train and iterate neural network models in R, with initial trials demonstrating high predictive performance. This model enabled early prescreening of unstable formulations, reducing experimental failure rates and integrating predictive analytics into the broader R&D pipeline.
Nautral Pigment Encapsulation
I formulated natural pigment replacements for synthetic colorants across a wide range of pharmaceutical SKUs, aligning with upcoming FDA regulatory shifts. I conducted accelerated stability studies under elevated temperature and humidity conditions to mimic long term degradation. Through spectrophotometric and pH analysis, I optimized color attributes including ΔE, opacity, and overall visual quality to ensure formulation consistency. These findings were shared with senior leadership and pushed for further global implementation.

Drosophila melanogaster Inheratance Study
At Saint Joseph's University, I executed controlled genetic crosses between wild type and mutant Drosophila melanogaster strains to analyze phenotypic ratios in alignment with Mendelian inheritance. Standardized environmental conditions and induced dormancy to synchronize developmental stages. Performed manual sexing and phenotypic classification of 260+ flies under dissection microscopy. Applied chi-square statistical analysis to validate genotype-phenotype correlations and explored CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing applications in model organisms for functional genomics insights.
